The paperwork is a second job
In most trade businesses, the boss does the writing. If you type with two fingers, a quote with a full description of works can easily take an hour. But you can talk as fast as you do on site.
SpeechToWork works alongside the software you already use. It does not replace it; it fills its text fields: job descriptions, remarks, reports, covering letters.

SpeechToWork runs on a Windows PC or laptop, not on a phone. It is meant for the desk in the office, the site cabin or at home. Voice notes for builders that you record on the go can be dragged in later as files and converted into text.

Frequently asked questions
Does SpeechToWork replace my job management software?
No. Programs for quotes, measurements and invoices stay exactly what they are. SpeechToWork takes the typing off your hands: you put the cursor in your software's text field and dictate. That works with any Windows program, and in the browser too, without an interface or any setup on the software's side.
Can I keep a site diary with it?
Yes. You dictate the daily report into your site diary program, Word or Excel. With the “Bullet points” style, free talking becomes a short report with quantities, materials and open points. SpeechToWork is not a dedicated site diary app with photos and weather data, but it fills in the text for one.
Does the software understand accents?
A regional accent is no problem. With a very strong accent or dialect, recognition quality drops, as it does with any speech recognition. Try it with your own voice during the free trial; after five minutes you will know where you stand. Trade terms and product names can go in the dictionary.
Does it work on the laptop in the site cabin without internet?
Yes. Once installed, SpeechToWork works offline, including on laptops without a dedicated graphics card. There, rewriting takes a few seconds instead of one. Only the licence check needs a connection now and then, so you can dictate reports wherever the laptop is.
